Language Machines Network

Language Machines Network is a research network at the intersection of linguistic anthropology, LLMs, science and technology studies (STS), and related fields. We meet monthly online to discuss pre-circulated work — our own and others’ — on language and large language models.

Our work includes a special issue on “Language Machines” in the Journal of Linguistic Anthropology, which continues to accept contributions on a rolling basis — see the Cite Club page for our publications and curated readings, and the Calendar for our reading group schedule.
